Wild Rivers Conservancy

Wild Rivers Conservancy stewards the rare ecological integrity of the St. Croix and Namekagon Riverway to maintain a thriving watershed, forever accessible, scenic and wild for generations to enjoy. They protect and restore natural areas, improve water quality and involve the community in education, volunteerism and recreation to cultivate a sense of love and pride for the watershed. The St. Croix Riverway has been protected for over 100 years with the establishment of the Conservancy in 1911.  

We worked closely with the Wild Rivers Conservancy team to tell their story and cultivate the community’s enjoyment and appreciation of the watershed. Simplifying their website allowed us to focus on celebrating  how their efforts over the past 100 years have protected the integrity of the watershed. 

Showing users the beauty of the riverway inspires them to visit, enjoy and advocate for protection. We connect users with events and staff who make river recreation accessible to as many community members as possible. The site helps develop interest and inspire the community to be involved in visiting and enjoying natural beauty.
